Paphos Mayor Phedonas Phedonos on Monday welcomed students of the Higher Hotel Institute (HHI) to the city and toured the Tepak School of Tourism Studies under construction.
According to an announcement by the municipality, during the tour showcased the school’s facilities which include, among others, a restaurant hall, a cafeteria, a library and reading room, a gym, an auditorium, classrooms, pastry and bakery workshops, a computer room, underground parking, and administrative offices.
Adjacent to the facilities, plans are underway for the construction of 203 student residence rooms,120 parking spaces, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and green spaces.
The student visit took place in anticipation of their enrolment at the Paphos site in September. Phedonos said the HHI school will upgrade the tourism industry of both Paphos and the island as a whole.
Tepak’s director of administration and finance, Kostas Hoppas, and the head of student welfare, Vassilis Protopapas, joined the mayor in welcoming the students.
