Parts of Larnaca and Nicosia without power

Parts of Larnaca and Nicosia have suffered power cuts as some lines have been cut, with power expected to be restored by 4.30pm.

Spokeswoman for the Electricity Authority Cyprus, Christina Papadopoulou, said that the outages are due to some lines having been cut – without offering further details.

She said that EAC personnel are at the locations where the problems have been identified.

Areas hit are understood to be Ayioi Trimithias, Akaki, Meniko, Paliometocho, Aradippou, Livadia and Larnaca city centre.
