Motorbike rider critically injured in Prodromi

Police on Monday are investigating the circumstances under which a 35-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured in Paphos.

According to police, the 35-year-old man was riding a high capacity motorcycle in Prodromi on the Latsi-Polis Chrysochous road on Sunday, when at around 5.40pm he lost control of his bike, which hit the pavement and overturned, dragging him along for a distance of 50m.

The 35-year-old was initially transferred to the Paphos general hospital where he was intubated and from there to the Nicosia general hospital ICU. Doctors on duty reported his condition as critical.

Paphos police are continuing the investigation.
