Two accidents involving fall from a height in Paphos

Paphos police on Monday reported that a 58-year-old man in Pano Arodes fell from a ladder and was injured.

The 58-year-old had been up three meters high, cleaning the exterior windows of his house, when he fell to the ground in his yard. He was taken to Paphos hospital and subsequently transferred to Nicosia general hospital due to the nature of his injuries, which required surgical care. His health condition is described as serious.

Meanwhile, on Friday a 71-year-old woman also fell from three meters, after suffering a dizzy spell while cleaning the balcony of the house she shares with her son in Peyia.

The woman was transferred by ambulance to Paphos general hospital. According to the doctor on duty, the 71-year-old presented with pulmonary thoracic hypotension, however, her state of health is considered out of danger.
