Defence ministry announces aerial exercises over Nicosia

The national guard and armed forces on Tuesday will conduct training activities within the Nicosia flight information region (FIR), the Ministry of Defence announced.

The exercises will involve the participation of both air and ground forces and include air defence scenarios.

There will also be overflights, as well as low flights by helicopters and fighter jets.

The activities are part of the annual military cooperation program of the Republic with friendly countries, the announcement states.
