Car explosion in Larnaca

An explosion occurred in a car at 1.15am on Saturday in Larnaca, police said.

According to police, “an explosive device was placed under a vehicle which was parked in an open area next to its owner’s house”.

“The explosion caused damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle and the windows.”

“Damage was also caused to the windows of a second vehicle which was parked close to where the explosion occurred.”

Investigations were due to begin at first light.
