The Animal Party on Tuesday called on the ministers of the interior and justice to look into the serious issue of the non-compliance with the Dog Law by municipalities and communities.

According to its statement the party had warned the municipalities for some time about the need to comply with the provisions of relevant legislation, specifically the Law on Dogs 184(I)2002, emphasising that violators will be brought to justice.

Unfortunately, the party stated, the situation of non-compliance continues, culminating in the case of Ayioi Trimithias, where, as noted, stray dogs are roaming among the community’s buildings.

“The Animal Party will support the protestors and attend [the protest] on Sunday, June 4 in Ayioi Trimithias,” the announcement concludes.
