Man in Ayia Napa caught using fake money at a pub

A 20-year-old man was arrested in Ayia Napa for circulating fake bank notes, police said on Sunday.

According to authorities, the man was arrested on Saturday night, after he was found at a pub in Ayia Napa trying to use fake bank notes to buy a drink.

Police found the man at the pub, and after a body check, police found €550 on him in fake cash.

The 20-year-old was arrested, and taken to court on Sunday, where he was issued a five day remand.
