Police arrested two people for a case of alleged assault against a 26-year-old man in Paphos.

According to police spokesman and head of CID Michalis Nikolaou, on June 4, the 26-year-old man reported that on the previous day at 3.30pm, a 43-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man had visited him at home.

The reason for the visit, according to the complainant, was a financial dispute between him and the 43-year-old woman.

The two visitors then allegedly attacked the 26-year-old, causing a fracture to his left hand and facial contusions.

The police obtained arrest warrants against the two suspects and they were taken into custody on Tuesday.
