Famagusta district court on Thursday remanded two men aged 22 and 21 after they were found with a host of drugs in Ayia Napa.

A day earlier, members of the force carried out a search of the 21-year-old suspect’s apartment, based on a court warrant, during which they uncovered 500g of cannabis, 100g of cocaine, five grams of cannabis resin, a precision scale and over €3,500 in cash.

On the same day, police obtained written consent to search the 22-year-old’s home, also in Ayia Napa. During the search, police found 500g cannabis, 565g cannabis resin, 30g of cocaine, and 15 cannabis plants ranging from 12cm to 50cm high.

The two men were remanded to facilitate investigations by the Famagusta drug squad.
