President heads to Strasbourg to address European parliament

Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides travels to Strasbourg on Monday, where the next day he will address a plenary session of the European Parliament.

On Monday evening he will attend a working dinner with the six Cypriot MEPs.

The following day, he will travel to the European Parliament, where he will be welcomed by its President Roberta Metsola, followed by an official welcoming ceremony.

The two presidents will then have a meeting, which will address the Cyprus problem, the migration problem and other issues of European interest.

Christodoulides will then address the plenary session of the European Parliament.

Comments and questions from MEPs will follow, followed by President Christodoulides’ second speech.

He will also meet President of the European People’s Party (ELK) Manfred Weber, followed by a lunch which will also be attended by the Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament and the Vice-Presidents of the EPP.

In the evening, the President of the Republic will depart for Vienna for a one-day working visit on Wednesday.
