Larnaca municipality’s environment department on Monday announced the start of its annual pruning of palm trees.

Crews started in the old Turkish Cypriot area of the city and will move to the McKenzie area on June 23 before moving to Ayios Lazaros on July 10. To follow will be the tall palm trees on Athens Ave.

Other areas of the city will be sequentially pruned ending with the Kamares area at the beginning of November.
