The hunting federation is set to hold a march “in favour of the institution of the family and the protection of the child” on July 8.

The federation’s chairman Nikolas Prodromou told Cyprus Mail that the march had been primarily organised out of concern surrounding the new sex education bill.

He said that parents “do not know what the schools are trying to teach children”.

He added that the protest also had a more general meaning, saying that people “have a number of other concerns” and want to show their support for the institution of the family.

He said that he expects more than 2,000 people to attend.
