Free fees for students holding disabled card

The cabinet on Wednesday approved the exemption of tuition fees in educational programmes for holders of a European Disability Card.

According to a statement released by the education ministry following the decision, holders of the European Disability Card will be exempted from paying tuition fees in programmes offered by state institutes of further education, training centres and vocational education and training programmes.

This decision is the result of a collaboration between the ministries of education and welfare and falls within the framework of government efforts aimed at the inclusion of individuals with disabilities into society while facilitating their access to education.
