Christina Achilleos, an expert EU Funding Consultant from Larnaca, Cyprus, recently took centre stage as a distinguished panellist at the Carpathian Startup Fest in Rzeszow, Poland on June 15-16 2023, representing Cyprus and her newly founded company InnoEUsphere.

The panel “Going Global: key factors for international expansion” was hosted by Michal Kramarz, Head of Google for Startups in Central Europe.

The event, buzzing with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial spirit, brought together industry leaders, visionaries, investors and Polish and other EU startuppers, and is amongst Poland’s biggest startup events.

During the panel discussion, Achilleos emphasised the critical role of cultivating an internationalisation mindset from the very inception of a commercialisation plan, sharing knowledge and expertise following her years of experience with empowering startups to access EU funding opportunities and accelerate their growth.

Additionally, she revealed the untapped potential that lies within training and education, as key catalysts for transforming startuppers into confident global players.

By leveraging the extensive resources offered by EU-funded programmes, she explained, entrepreneurs can unlock unparalleled opportunities for expansion and make their mark on the European and global markets.

“Nurturing the extroversion potential among startuppers is truly powerful, and can be even more strengthened, if we encourage, motivate, and give opportunities to startuppers to tap into the needs of their local innovation ecosystems, while learning and exchanging experiences with other EU & international ones,” the Cypriot entrepreneur explained.

“In an increasingly interconnected world, where technology is our global common language, knowledge exchange and learning experiences play a pivotal role in driving international success,” she added.

This panel discussion at the Carpathian Startup Fest included the participation of four other strong innovation players from Poland and the rest of the European Union, startup founders and investors, with everyone sharing their valuable insights under the panel topic.

According to an announcement, beyond the aforementioned key conclusions, the discussion also showcased InnoEUsphere’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of global innovators, helping them continuously access such learning experiences and EU funds through EU-funded projects.

In addition, the discussion between all of the panellists showed an unwavering passion for empowering startups and established a continued desire to make a profound impact on the international startup community.
