Man arrested for stealing gun and bullets

A 21-year-old man was arrested in Famagusta on Sunday on suspicion of having stolen a gun and cartridges.

Police received a complaint at around 3pm on Sunday from a man who said his car had been stolen, and that inside the car was a shotgun and five boxes of hunting cartridges.

They then found the vehicle a few hours later in the Paralimni area, but the gun and cartridges were missing

They then received information regarding the 21-year-old, before carrying out a search of his apartment. They found the gun and the cartridges, and then arrested him.
