A 29-year-old man from Paphos was arrested on Wednesday night, suspected of throwing stones at the windows of the town’s courthouse, among other buildings.

The man was apprehended at around 10:45pm after police obtained an arrest warrant. He stands accused of causing malicious damage.

In addition to the courthouse, stones were also thrown at the town’s welfare office, the citizens’ service centre, and the district labour office.

The damage had been noticed after court officials arrived for work a week ago to realise that two windows at the building had been shattered.
