Doctors without borders Cyprus will be sending a mission to Rafah in Egypt to deal with patients and victims of Israeli attacks in Gaza, an announcement said Thursday.

The team will be heading out on Friday, and will work in the Rafah area initially, helping Palestinian civilians that have managed to cross into Egypt.

The organisation will also donate medical and pharmaceutical supplies to the Egyptian Red Crescent, provided by the company Medochemie.

The team will be made up of Drs George Makriyiannis, Eleni Theocharous, and Andreas Kaouros.

They will be accompanied by Cyprus News Agency photojournalist Katia Christodoulou.
