A 54-year-old man died in a car accident on the Nicosia to Limassol motorway on Friday, after crashing into the car in front of him and losing control.

According to police, after losing control the man hit into the barrier near the exit of Parekklisia.

The man was not wearing a seat belt, police said, which led to him being thrown from the vehicle.

He was taken to Limassol General, where after two hours he succumbed to his injuries.

The car in front of the 54-year-old had two passengers in it, who were fine after the accident. The vehicle in front was slightly damaged from the crash.
