Christodoulides hopes for an end to occupation in his Christmas message (Video)

In his Christmas message, President Nikos Christodoulides expressed the wish that 2024 would mark the beginning of the end of the occupation of Cyprus.

President Christodoulides stated, “Our thoughts turn towards our fellow citizens in need of our support, both young and old, across Cyprus and the diaspora.”

“May the joyful message of the birth of Christ fill our hearts with love and humanity. Let us send a message of hope and progress through acts of solidarity,” he added.

The President of the Republic expressed the hope that 2024 will mark the beginning of the end of the occupation of our homeland. “I hope to see Cyprus reunified soon, providing the next generations the opportunity to live and prosper in conditions of safety and peace, in a modern state with a solid economic foundation and a people-centered approach,” he stated.

“I look forward to this,” he declared, emphasising his unwavering commitment to working tirelessly towards this goal.
