Police clamp down on illegal employment

Police announced arrests on Wednesday in four cases of illegal employment and illegal stay in the districts of Nicosia, Larnaca, and Paphos.

After conducting checks on Tuesday, the police made five arrests of workers found to be illegally employed in various premises, with their employers also under investigation.

Two of the cases occurred in a factory and a restaurant in Nicosia, one in a restaurant in Larnaca, and one involved a domestic helper in Paphos.

Police efforts to combat illegal employment are ongoing.
