About 200 tonnes of humanitarian aid is being sent to Gaza through Cyprus’ Amalthea corridor to Ashdod port by Kuwaiti “Al-Salam association for humanitarian and charitable works”.

Kuwait’s embassy in Cyprus said a delegation of the Al-Salam association is in Cyprus to make arrangements for about 200 tonnes of products and goods, gathered from the local market in Cyprus, to be sent as humanitarian aid to the civilians in Gaza.

A smaller volume of aid had been sent to Ashdod last week.

On Wednesday, a US Central Command spokesman said the temporary jetty would never be used again and the mission is complete.
