A 28-year-old was on Tuesday sentenced to six years in prison for possession of drugs with the purpose of selling them, as well as a concurrent four-year sentence for importing drugs by the Larnaca criminal court.
A 25-year-old was convicted on March 8 for the same case.
The court heart that both men had imported a quantity of cannabis with the purpose of selling it to other people.
The cannabis, weighing 937g, had been found in March 2022 in a total of three parcels that arrived at a Larnaca post office from abroad.
The parcels had been examined by the customs and the police.
The 28-year-old was the recipient of one parcel and the 25-year-old the recipient of the other two.
Investigations at the 25-year-old’s house produced another two kilos of cannabis.
Evidence suggested that the 28-year-old was also involved in the other two parcels.
