The total weight of goods transported by road within Cyprus saw a 3.7 per cent increase during the period from January to March 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.

According to a report released by the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat) this week, 10.86 million tonnes were transported in the first quarter of 2024, up from 10.48 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2023.

In contrast, the weight of goods transported by road to and from Cyprus during the same period recorded a slight decrease of 0.9 per cent.
