Cyprus will be participating in Junior Eurovision 2024 with 11-year-old Maria Pissarides, it was announced on Wednesday.
The contest will be taking place in Madrid on November 16, 2024.
According to an announcement from CyBC, Cyprus’ representative in the competition attends a school specialising in performing arts in the UK and her selection was made following an evaluation of a proposal from the production company Chandal Entertainment Ltd to CyBC.
The song, which will represent Cyprus is composed and written by Sofia Patsalidou, who represented Cyprus in the same competition ten years ago, in collaboration with Swedish producer and composer Armin Gilani.
The performance will be curated by the acclaimed British artistic director, Layla Ellison.
An audition will be held for the dancers that are set to appear on the stage with Pissarides. The audition will be held by Chandal Entertainment Ltd.
