An 87-year-old British man was found dead in the sea at Coral Bay, Peyia, Paphos, on Friday, police reported.

The man went for a swim around 1.30pm and was later discovered floating unconscious.

Beachgoers assisted in pulling him from the water and called an ambulance. He was transported to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
