A man reported having been the victim of a “homophobic attack” on Saturday night in Limassol.

In a post on his Instagram story, the man said he had been walking past a nightclub when bouncers standing outside called him a “faggot”.

He said he had then asked for an explanation and asked the bouncer “what is your problem?”, before being punched in the head.

Two other bouncers reportedly saw the incident and, according to the victim, “did nothing, almost smiling”.

He added that he has “found the information” of the bouncer who hit him.

According to news website AlphaNews, the man went to hospital for tests, while the police are expecting him to formally report the incident.
