A 48-year-old man died on Saturday after falling into the sea in Kyrenia.

He had been sat on the sea wall on the town’s promenade, before losing his balance and falling a total of four metres into the sea.

On Tuesday, an autopsy revealed that his death was caused by “falling from a height, a brain haemorrhage, drowning, and asphyxia”.

The Turkish Cypriot police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
