Pensioners union Ekysy on Friday reiterated their plea on Friday to scrap the 12 per cent pension cut for those who retire early.
In a statement, Ekysy pledged it would go ahead with its protest slated for October 3 outside the finance ministry.
The union criticised the government “for showing no sensitivity to pensioners and the problems they face.”
They said the cost of living is affecting pensioners’ quality of life and thus the 12 per cent cut for those who retire early at 63 rather than 65, should be scrapped.
