CyBC trade unions call off strike after president says no one to be wronged

Trade unions have called off strikes at the CyBC planned for Thursday and next week, after President Nikos Christodoulides told a CyBC event on Tuesday evening that he would not allow anyone to be wronged.

The strikes had been announced after the CyBC failed to pay 2023 and 2024 retirees their pension rights.

Speaking at the event, Christodoulides said he had given instructions to the involved ministers to find solutions.

After this development, the trade unions called on CyBC to work with the ministries for a speedy settlement.
