A 26-year-old man was arrested after trashing a hotel lobby in Paphos, police announced on Monday.
Paphos police assistant operations director Michalis Nikolaou said the incident had occurred shortly before midnight on Saturday, with the man “causing damage” to the hotel lobby and “causing concern”.
When the police arrived at the scene, the man was apparently “continuing to swear”, while broken objects were found in his wake.
He then attacked a policeman and was immediately arrested.
The man is on holiday in Cyprus, and was re-arrested on Sunday for the crime of “causing malicious damage”.
