Just before the month ends and the festive events and performances properly take over, an enchanting evening of music at a museum will take place. And this upcoming concert will not be just a night of melodies as it has special cause – the artists are dedicating their earnings to Room of Hope, a charity that provides holistic support to vulnerable people in Cyprus, especially women rescued from human trafficking.
The Romantic Flute concert will take audiences to the Cyprus Wine Museum in Erimi village this Friday, for a performance by Florian Rabe and Birgitta Birchall. The intimate music night will begin at 7pm with the musicians playing flute and piano compositions.
“Prepare to be enchanted by the magical combination of flute and piano as Florian Rabe and Birgitta Birchall bring the timeless beauty of Romantic music to life,” say organisers. “Together, they will immerse you in a world of melodies that evoke deep emotion, love, and a touch of the mythical. The flute has always been known for its ethereal, poetic sound, and its ability to convey a range of emotions – qualities that were particularly valued by composers of the Romantic era. The programme includes pieces from Felix Mendelssohn, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Gabriel Fauré and others.”
Most importantly, the concert is not just a treat for music lovers, it is a chance to give back. Part of the Commandaria Orchestra & Friends concert series and co-organised with the Cyprus International Women of Today, ticket sales will go towards supporting the important work of the organisation. All while music fills the museum.
