Parts of the Limassol district were without power after a lorry crashed into an electricity pylon on Monday evening.
Electricity authority (EAC) spokeswoman Christina Papadopoulou told news website Alpha that the lorry had hit the pylon at around 8pm, and that the pylon also housed a transformer.
As a result, she said, the crash caused a short circuit, and thus power was cut to the villages of Asgata, Monagroulli, Moni, Pentakomo, and Pyrgos.
