Talks on Cyprus in Geneva wrap up on Tuesday with bilateral meetings of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres with each delegation, followed by the informal enlarged meeting on the Cyprus problem.

The enlarged meeting will see both Cyprus’ sides as well as representatives of the island’s three guarantor powers, Greece, Turkey, and the UK, and the United Nations, convene to discuss the Cyprus problem.

President Nikos Christodoulides will have bilateral meetings with Britain’s Minister of State for Europe Stephen Doughty and the UN chief.

The plenary session will take place at the Palais des Nations, the UN office in Geneva, at 1pm Cyprus time.

On Tuesday evening, Christodoulides will travel to Brussels where on March 20 and 21 he and the UN chief will brief the European Council on the informal meeting during a working lunch.

Government spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis said the Greek Cypriot side would be taking part in the meetings on Tuesday with constructive proposals, a constructive approach and political will for a positive outcome.
