Despite the broader challenges facing the healthcare sector, the American Medical Center (AMC) has retained its position as the most trusted medical institution in Cyprus, according to the findings of a nationwide survey conducted by polling company RAI Consultants.

Specifically, AMC ranks first in the trust index, maintaining its leading position for the ninth consecutive year among all major hospitals in the country. The survey, commissioned by StockWatch, covered both urban and rural areas, and involved male and female participants over the age of 18. The results, once again, confirm the unwavering trust people place in AMC’s services and medical staff.

Commenting on the survey results, American Medical Center Co-founders Dr Marinos Soteriou and Dr Christos Christou, emphasised that public trust is a great honour for the Centre—but also a significant responsibility. In a field as sensitive as healthcare, reliability cannot be taken for granted; it is earned daily through care, consistency and dedication to each individual patient, they stressed. Such steady recognition serves as a powerful incentive to continue efforts with the same commitment, they added.

The survey findings, they continued, underscore the vital role played by the private sector in healthcare, particularly when compared with the public sector and hospitals operating within the island’s General Healthcare System (GeSY).

AMC remains dedicated to its mission of delivering high-quality medical care, based on expertise, innovation, specialisation and respect for the patient. Continuous investment in highly-qualified medical personnel, modern infrastructure and cutting-edge technology reinforces AMC’s commitment to ongoing development and leadership in the healthcare sector.

Looking ahead, and as part of its strategic vision for growth and expansion, the American Medical Center is proceeding with the establishment of a new state-of-the-art facility in Limassol, which is expected to be completed and operational by 2026.
