The Jaguar Type 00 made its debut in Monaco at the weekend, after it was unveiled on a floating platform against the backdrop of the glittering Mediterranean sea.
This unexpected appearance provided the perfect backdrop to showcase both the Type 00’s distinctive silhouette and the British marque’s design vision.
Jaguar’s guests had the opportunity to admire the futuristic model, as well as to watch the Formula E race in Monaco. The Type 00 appeared in ‘French Ultramarine’, a special colour developed in-house by the brand’s creative team.
Using a unique Jaguar pigment – enriched with metallic elements – the paint takes on a satin finish, further highlighting the model’s bold form.
The debut of the Jaguar Type 00 in Monaco follows the model’s appearance on the streets of Paris during Fashion Week. A host of A-list celebrities, including Irish actor and star of the film ‘Saltburn’, Barry Keoghan, actor, model and musician Jamie Dornan and Oscar-winning star Zoe Saldana, were captured by the camera as they descended on glamorous locations across the city in the Type 00, a model that captures Jaguar’s design vision.
The Type 00 is a harbinger of what’s to come from Jaguar as the brand redefines its original ‘Copy Nothing’ doctrine as envisioned by its founder, Sir William Lyons. The world premiere of the model took place during Miami Art Week in December 2024.
“Following the European debut of the Type 00 at Paris Fashion Week, we are thrilled to bring the brand to Monaco – the perfect setting to showcase Jaguar’s vision for the future of luxury motoring,” said the brand’s General Manager, Rawdon Glover.
