Health officials have issued another warning about fraudulent SMS messages falsely appearing to come from the general health system (Gesy).

Gesy urges the public not to open any suspicious links and to delete such messages immediately.

The misleading texts instruct recipients to follow an electronic link to “correct their personal information”.

Gesy officials stressed that the organisation has no connection to these messages.

The announcement emphasised that Gesy never requests passwords, login credentials, payment information or any other personal data via SMS.

It also does not require the public to conduct financial transactions through links contained in text messages.

Gesy advises those receiving such messages to delete the message immediately.

The organisation reiterated its commitment to safeguarding personal data and encouraged the public to remain vigilant against ongoing phishing attempts exploiting the Gesy name.
