The working week is coming to an end with slightly cloudy weather and temperatures remaining mild, reaching up to 21 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast and 11 degrees in the higher mountains.
Meanwhile, a low-pressure area centred in Egypt is moving north and is expected to affect the island from tomorrow. Dust will linger in the atmosphere until Sunday, with concentrations peaking at times.
Winds will blow mainly northeasterly to southeasterly, at up to 4 Beaufort reaching up to 5 Beaufort locally on the windward coast. The sea will be slightly rough to rough.
Tonight, the weather will become overwhelmingly cloudy with isolated rains expected mainly on the south and west coasts.
Temperatures are expected to drop to around 11 degrees Celsius inland and on the coasts, and to 4 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost may form locally.
Winds will blow mainly northeasterly, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and later to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough to rough.
On Saturday, the weather will be mainly cloudy with local rain and isolated storms where hail is possible, while on the higher peaks of Troodos, sleet or even snow may fall.
The island will be affected by strong northeasterly winds. On Sunday, increased cloudiness is expected to bring isolated showers and thunderstorms. On Monday, there will be increased cloud cover.
The temperature will drop significantly on Saturday, rise on Sunday, and remain unchanged on Monday.
