A company car used by a foreign employee was the target of arsonists on Saturday night, police said.

The car was set on fire at around midnight while it was parked outside the home of the person who drives it, in the Makarios refugee housing estate in Kato Polemidia.

The fire was put out by the fire brigade, while police cordoned off the area.

Police said the incident was malicious.

The car, with 1,500 euro, was destroyed by the fire.
