Coronavirus: Archimandrite Gregorios dies

The Archbishopric announced on Monday the death of the Holy Synod’s chief secretary from Covid-19.

Archimandrite Gregorios Mousouroulis, 71, had tested positive on December 17 and was hospitalised nine days later.

He was intubated two days ago, as his condition worsened, and he died on Monday at 6.15am, the Church said.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at a10am at Panayia Pallouriotissa church.

The service will be led by Archbishop Chrysostomos.
