Members of the drug squad made three arrests on Tuesday after finding a kilo of cannabis in a car in Limassol.

Following a tip off, officers stopped two cars on Troodos avenue in Limassol at 1.20pm.

One of them was driven by a 26-year-old man, a resident of Limassol, and the other one by a 33-year-old man who had a 20-year-old passenger. Both are residents of the Paphos district.

In the car driven by the 26-year-old, one kilo of cannabis was found, which the 33-year-old had allegedly given to him.

A small amount of cannabis was found in the other car.

All three were arrested and questioned. They are being detained pending further investigations.
