Coronavirus: Workers returning to work to be tested alphabetically

Υπουργείο Υγείας – Πρόγραμμα ελέγ

The health ministry announced that Covid screenings for people returning to work next Monday will start on Tuesday, February 2.

The mandatory tests include people working in the retail sector, museums and archaeological places, and teachers in primary schools and those teaching lyceum graduates.

Workers will be screened throughout the week in alphabetical order:

Tuesday, A-D; Wednesday, E-I; Thursday, J-M; Friday, N-R; Saturday, S-V, Sunday, W-Z.

Workers were urged to observe the alphabetical order to avoid congestion and inconvenience at the testing venues.

Employees who fail to show up for testing should bear in mind that to return to work on Monday, February 8, they must display a negative test.

The worker screening programme is running simultaneously with the general population screening. Between Tuesday and Sunday, the health ministry will be operating 53 testing stations in all districts.
