How to foam-roll your back to relieve pain, stiffness

This video is meant to expand your general knowledge about living a healthy life and is NOT a substitute for seeking medical advice. Please consult with your doctor before making changes in your health practices, diet and self-care.

In this video, chiropractor Dr. Michael Rowe demonstrates the best ways to foam-roll your back for instant pain, tightness, and stiffness relief.

Included are easy and effective foam-roller methods targeting the upper and middle back, ribs, lower back, and into the pelvis (including the tailbone) and hips. Additionally, self-release, pop, or cracking foam-roller exercises are shown, to help open up the back and provide more mobility to the spinal joints.

All of these movements are safe, effective and can be done anytime you need quick back-pain relief. Also, they’re especially effective for trigger points, muscle spasms and knots.
