The superhuman ‘iceman’ Wim Hof

Always exercise responsibly and safely. Ideally under the guidance of a trained fitness and/or medical professional, who can match the exercise or sports regimen to your present level of fitness.

In this video, we meet Wim Hof, also known as ‘The Iceman’, a Dutch extreme athlete noted for his ability to withstand freezing temperatures.

Of course, ice dipping has a long been a tradition in Europe and, judging by social media during the pandemic winter, an unusually large number of people have given bathing in the freezing waters a try.

As something of a guru of the movement, Hof has not just set numerous cold endurance records himself, he also teaches others how to prepare for ice swimming with a special breathing technique.
