How a best friend helped a baby sea lion return to the ocean

Every pet deserves a loving and respectful home: please only consider acquiring a pet if you will be able to take care of its long-term needs. Also, consider choosing your animal companion from a shelter, where there are so many wonderful furry friends who need a forever home.

This sweet story comes to us from the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, based in Laguna Beach, California.

The Center rescues, rehabilitates and releases marine mammals and inspires ocean stewardship through research, education and collaboration.

In this video, a baby sea lion is scared to be released back into the ocean, until her best friend – another rescue – tells her to come with him.
