The male hummingbird’s multi-colour mating strategy

The natural world is full of colours. For our species, they are a source of beauty, but for other animals they are a tool for survival, relied upon to win a mate, fight off rivals and to warn enemies.

In this video, legendary British broadcaster and natural historian Sir David Attenborough explains the spectacularly beautiful strategy with which a male hummingbird tries to attract a female.
