Coronavirus: Businesses in Paphos and Nicosia charged

In the 24 hours until 6am on Monday police booked eight business owners and 171 other individuals for breaching coronavirus protocols, police said.

A total of 13,032 checks were carried out between 6am on Sunday and 6am on Monday.

In Nicosia, 2,191 people were checked and 40 booked, in Limassol the respective numbers were 3,400 and 48, in Larnaca 1,504 and 21, in Paphos 1,588 and 20, in Famagusta 1,337 and 21 and in the Morphou district 2,116 inspections were conducted without anybody being fined.

Three establishments were booked in Nicosia and five in Paphos.

Traffic police booked 21 persons as a result of 697 checks.
