Clay skills: how to create an ‘ocarina’ at home

Hey kids, in this video, you’ll learn how to make your own ocarina – a type of ancient vessel flute – at home.

A typical ocarina is a wind instrument with 4-12 finger holes and a mouthpiece that projects from the body. It is traditionally made from clay or ceramic, but other materials can also used, such as plastic, wood, glass, or metal.

The materials you will need for your ocarina project:

  • clay
  • water
  • wire
  • sculpting tools
