Eco-friendly vacationing in an upcycled UFO in Wales

In this NMF-sponsored video, we head to Wales to look at a new twist at eco-friendly accommodation – an upcycled UFO in Wales!

Whether a visitor fancies a stay in a quirky Airbnb, or simply wants to travel in a sustainable, eco-friendly way, this unusual form of accommodation ticks the boxes. It’s one of many similar such structures available to vacationers by Apple Camping – and alternative glamping site located in south Pembrokeshire.

The project includes an upcycled plane, yurts, trailers, huts and many more interesting accommodation options, and is situated next to a working farm less than 5 miles from both the walled town of Tenby, with its pretty harbour, and the small seaside resort town of Saundersfoot with its Blue Flag beach.

The Nick Maughan Foundation (NMF) was established to further a range of philanthropic initiatives in education, the environment and civic support schemes for disenfranchised communities.
