Coronavirus: 4 businesses, 166 individuals booked

Police booked 166 individuals and four establishments for violating coronavirus protocols in 24 hours from Sunday until Monday morning.

The owner of a pub in Nicosia was fined €750 for having too many guests for the size of the premises. A Limassol pub owner was booked for playing music.

In Paphos, a restaurant was ordered to pay €1,000 because the premises were not marked while a guest was dancing inside and another restaurant was charged €500 because it was operating after 11pm.

11,8787 checks were carried out, 2,372 in Nicosia, 2,843 in Limassol, 1,611 in Larnaca, 1,409 in Paphos, 1,180 in Famagusta and 1,668 in the Morphou district.

Traffic police conducted 757 inspections and marine police 37.
